THE PROBLEM
The Museum of contemporary Art rooftop was faced with major water entry from narrow terrace decks and planter areas. Prestech had limited and restricted access to work areas due to commercial tenant’ activities and minimal shut down periods to work with.
THE SOLUTION
Working double shifts, outside decking areas were deconstructed, stone parapets supported and old drainage and membranes removed. New support structures were built and new drainage and membrane systems installed prior to reinstating all external finishes.
THE RESULT
The Prestech team delivered a quality result to a very tight program and with little impact on important tenants of the MCA.
