THE PROBLEM
A converted wool store, this valuable residential property located right beside the busy Eastern Distributor required wide-ranging facade repair work. Concrete and render elements were badly deteriorated. Timber windows needed refurbishment. lead paint required careful removal, rood plumbing needed replacement and there were leaks to be addressed.
THE SOLUTION
Hoardings and full, fixed scaffolds were established on three elevators. A complete facade upgrade was undertaken – often under very constrained conditions – all the while maintaining vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and full occupancy of the building.
THE RESULT
A dramatic improvement to this beautiful building. An enhancement to the owners’ asset and the neighbourhood.
